My work as a clinical psychologist specializing in infant and early childhood mental health allows me to build therapeutic relationships with young children and their families. Young children rely on the adults in their lives for everything, including help to learn about emotions and ways to communicate their feelings.

I have experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings providing psychological evaluations and treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns. Gradually, I began working with younger and younger children, and moved away from seeing children individually to involving parents/guardians in the treatment process. This is where my passion for infant and early childhood mental health was born. I strongly believe that with early intervention, we can change the trajectory of a child’s development and help the child develop skills to interact more positively within their family, at school, and in their larger community.

I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), an evidenced-based relational therapy for young children who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. I also have experience with additional evidenced-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness strategies. I trained as an infant and early childhood mental health consultant (IECMH Consultant), supporting administrators, teachers, and families as they promote the social emotional development of young children. Currently, I work as a director for a statewide grant funded program that provides IECMH Consultation across Connecticut.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and working together to help your child learn about big feelings, build prosocial coping and communication skills, and have more positive interactions.
